Meek Mill could be free Man, Arresting cop may have lied, DA won't oppose rapper's release

Meek Mill is currently in jail for weapons-and-drugs conviction, after violating his probation. Meek Mill attorney is asking for the release of his client, a list of corrupt cops became public last week, on a judge's order in connection with other cases.

Wednesday, Meek's team said the cop lied at the rappers 2008 trail, asked for immediate release of his client, the district attorney said Wednesday, that he will not oppose Mill's immediate release on bail pending appeal of his case. Hundreds of other convictions have already been reversed based on information provided by a whistleblowing cop.
