Kevin Gates' Legal Woes

Kevin Gates has recently occupied the news feed with updates concerning his freedom from the law. In October of 2016, at Polk County Court in Florida, Gates was handed a sentence of 180 days in jail after being found guilty of battery, a crime he committed at a concert in August of 2015, when he kicked a 19 year old woman while performing. He was slated to be released on March 24th after serving around 150 days of his sentence. However, when the judge became aware of an existing felony warrant for his arrest out of Cooks County, Illinois involving gun charges, Gates was extradited to Cooks County and brought into custody. It is believed that Gates will be able to post bond in the coming days, yet the details of whether or not the gun charges will be pursued by the court remain unclear.
