Santino turn down his deal on Sept. 9 turning down a 15-year plea deal for charges on conspiracy, attempted murder, attempted assault, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm.
Broderick is regretting his decision he was found guilty and faces up to 80 years.
Bridget G. Brennan, New York City’s Special Narcotics Prosecutor, was pleased with the jury’s decision.
“The trial proved Santino Boderick was involved in shocking violence and brazenly believed himself immune from prosecution,” Brennan said in a press release. “He was convicted of shooting up a tree-lined street in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn that was crowded with people enjoying a sunny Sunday afternoon. Hours later, a few blocks away, he wore the same clothes as he was videotaped dancing with GS9 members performing at the Barclay Center. I am thankful to the jury for their service and attention in this case, which has resulted in the conviction of one of the principle shooters in the GS9 gang, whose acts of violence spread across multiple cities and a two-year period.”
