Matt Dike Delicious Vinyl Co-Founder Dies At 55


Music legend Matt Dike died today due to illness, he passed away with his sister and brother by his side at home, according to different sources. Matt Dike is co-founded of the hip-hop label Delicious Vinyl with Michael Ross, established back in 1987. Matt Dike played a major part in Beastie Boy's "Paul Boutique," including working on Tone-Loc’s "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina," as well as Young MC’s "Bust a Move."

As the news spread on Tuesday, members of the music community shared messages about Dike's legacy. Questlove wrote on Instagram, "It was my dream to nerd out and ask him (and the dust brothers too) about how they defied the laws of sampling gravity and made some of the most groundbreaking work ever.
