Chicago Southside Woman Chased Down And Shot 12 times

A 33-year-old woman shot dead after she was chased down and shot multiple times in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side. The shooting happened around 10:30 a.m., residents came out to help and found Laquesha L. Holmes shot multiply times. A black Dodge Charger with tinted windows approached and a man got out, authorities said.

He chased her, then fired several shots, according to a woman who seen the shooter firing as he left the scene. Once outside all the bystanders can do is look she was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 11:02 a.m., authorities said. She lived in the South Shore neighborhood.

"No one wanted to touch her because she had a lot of bullet wounds. I moved her hair out of her face and tried to speak to her. I could see she was breathing really shallow because her back was moving. Her eyes were open then, rolled back a little,"
